The Gazelle Tour de l’Avenir was the Gazelle's second from top-of-the-range bike at the time and features nice detailed lugs and a characteristic wrap-around seat stay cluster. The bike has a touring pedigree with a relatively relaxed geometry and front and rear eyelets for mudguards and or bag carriers - making this a great base for a vintage randonneur/touring bicycle. 

Shimano 600 5x2 drivetrain with nice Arabesque crank. The original Maeda freewheel is as smooth as a whistle, as are the original Normandy high flange hubs lace to Weinmann aluminium rims. Shimano Tourney brakes with vintage Dura Ace brake blocks.

The bike has an extra extra large 65cm centre-to-top frame suitable for people 185cm and above.
